Terms of
Service

Last updated: 16 March 2026Tipzi Ltd · England & Wales

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Tipzi Platform. They apply to all users — employees, employers, and customers. Please read them carefully before creating an account.

01 — Acceptance of Terms

By registering for an account or otherwise accessing or using Tipzi ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.

These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and Tipzi Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("Tipzi", "we", "us"). Where you use the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

02 — Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Accounts may be created as one of three roles: Employee (service professionals collecting tips and reviews), Employer (businesses listing and verifying staff), or Customer (individuals leaving reviews and tips). Each role carries different permissions as described throughout these Terms.

03 — Accounts & Security

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@tipzi.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may not create more than one account per role, transfer your account to another person, or sell access to your profile.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or are used for fraudulent or abusive purposes.

04 — Employee Accounts

As an Employee you may create a public profile, receive reviews from Customers, and receive tip payments from Customers via Stripe. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your profile.

To receive tips you must connect a Stripe account. By doing so you agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement. Tipzi charges a platform service fee on each successful tip transaction; the current fee is shown at the point of Stripe Connect onboarding and on your dashboard.

Employment verification requests are sent to Employers in our directory. Tipzi is not responsible for ensuring that an Employer responds to a verification request or that any verification reflects the full nature of an employment relationship.

05 — Employer Accounts

As an Employer you may create a company profile, respond to employment verification requests from Employees, and (on paid tiers) search the employee directory. You confirm that you are authorised to act on behalf of the company you register.

When you confirm or reject an employment verification, you acknowledge that your response is made on behalf of your organisation and may be publicly displayed on the Employee's profile.

Employer subscription tiers and features are described on our Pricing page. We may change subscription prices on 30 days' notice; continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.

06 — Customer Accounts

As a Customer you may leave public reviews for Employees and send tip payments. You agree that any review you submit is honest, based on genuine first-hand experience, and does not contain defamatory, harassing, or unlawful content.

Tip payments are processed by Stripe and are non-refundable once confirmed, except in cases of fraud or where required by applicable law. Contact support@tipzi.co.uk within 7 days of a transaction if you believe there has been an error.

07 — Prohibited Conduct

You must not: post false, misleading, or defamatory content; impersonate another person or entity; scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform without our written consent; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform; use the Platform to send spam or unsolicited communications; or engage in any activity that violates applicable law.

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts in violation of these rules, without prior notice where necessary to protect users or the Platform.

08 — Intellectual Property

All software, design, trademarks, logos, and content created by Tipzi are the property of Tipzi Ltd or its licensors and are protected by UK copyright and intellectual property law.

You retain ownership of content you upload to the Platform (such as your profile photo or review text). By uploading content you grant Tipzi a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and reproduce that content as necessary to operate and promote the Platform.

We may use your name, username, and profile photo to attribute content you have posted and, with your separate consent, in promotional materials.

09 — Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We make no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of any user-generated content, including reviews.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tipzi's total liability to you in connection with these Terms or the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you have paid to Tipzi in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other matter that cannot be excluded by law.

10 — Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tipzi Ltd and its directors, employees, and agents from any claim, liability, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11 — Termination

You may delete your account at any time via your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for any other legitimate reason.

On termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will do so.

12 — Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.

We will always try to resolve disputes informally first. If you have a complaint, please email support@tipzi.co.uk and we will respond within 5 working days.

13 — Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect.

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
