Trust, Safety &
Verification

Last updated: 20 July 2026Tipzi Ltd · England & Wales

This policy explains what verification badges mean on Tipzi, how employment history verification works, and how we keep the Platform safe through reporting and blocking.

01 — What "Verified" Means

A "Verified" badge on an Employee profile means that person has connected and completed identity and payment verification with Stripe Connect, our payments partner. This confirms Stripe has verified their identity and bank account well enough to receive payouts.

Verification is a signal of payment readiness, not a comprehensive background check.

02 — What "Verified" Does Not Mean

A Verified badge does not confirm someone's right to work, criminal record, professional qualifications, or the truth of any specific claim on their profile. Tipzi does not run criminal background checks or right-to-work checks on Employees.

Employers who engage or hire individuals through Tipzi remain responsible for conducting their own right-to-work checks and any other compliance steps required by law — see our Employer Policy.

03 — Employment History Verification

Employees can request that an Employer confirm a period of employment shown on their profile. If the Employer confirms it via their dashboard, the job history entry is marked "Verified" on the public profile.

This confirms that the named Employer agrees the employment took place as described — it does not independently verify performance, conduct, or reason for leaving.

04 — Review Authenticity

We verify that reviews are tied to a real Tipzi account and, where possible, a related transaction (such as a tip). We do not verify the underlying facts described in a review — reviews reflect the reviewer's personal opinion and experience.

Our Community Guidelines set out what a genuine, acceptable review looks like, and how we act on reviews that don't meet that bar.

05 — Reporting & Blocking

Every review can be reported directly from a profile page if it violates our Community Guidelines. Reports are reviewed by our trust & safety team, typically within 48 hours.

You can block another user from a profile page at any time. Once blocked, that user cannot leave you a review or send you a tip, and the block applies in both directions.

06 — Account Suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts that pose a safety risk to other users, submit fraudulent verification requests, or repeatedly violate our Acceptable Use Policy or Community Guidelines.

07 — Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, including as our verification methods evolve. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
